Project Partner Roles

San Bernardino County Transportation Authority is the council of governments and transportation planning agency for San Bernardino County. SBCTA is leading the I-10 and I-15 Corridor Projects as well as the responsible agency under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). SBCTA is funding the Preliminary Engineering and Environmental Studies with Measure I funds.

 

California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Caltrans manages more than 50,000 miles of California's highway and freeway lanes, provides inter-city rail services, permits more than 400 public-use airports and special-use hospital heliports, and works with local agencies. Caltrans is the facility owner of the I-10 and I-15 corridors and is also the Lead Agency under CEQA and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

 

Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) provides stewardship over the construction, maintenance and preservation of the Nation’s highways, bridges and tunnels. FHWA is responsible for providing oversight on the I-10 Corridor Project.
